Angelica is a genus of plants and herbs that’s often used in traditional medicine, particularly in Asian countries. It is the dried root of Angelica sinensis (Oliv.)Diels. Major cultivated place are in the southeast of Gansu, also cultivated in Yunnan, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Hubei and other province in China. It has the effect of invigorating blood circulation, regulating menstruation and relieving pain, and moistening intestines. It is often used for blood deficiency, vertigo, palpitation, irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, deficiency and cold, abdominal pain, rheumatism, rheumatism, injury, ulcer, bowel dryness and constipation.
